I first started ceramics because I’ve always been interested in forming things out of clay. I’ve always liked to sculpt figures when I was little. Most of my inspiration comes from nature and fantasy which are my main interests.​
    To create a new work I first start sketching different ideas that I think of. I choose one that I think would work the best and then choose the materials by which would best portray the story or the theme. Throughout the work I usually change the idea because I think this would work more well than what I had originally planned or complications had arisen and i had to adapt the project.​
    My latest pieces are inspired by nature. When someone sees these pieces I want them to see the deeper meaning and see the life that is all around us. In the work I have been experimenting with glazes, which is newer to me, to try and get this idea across but I also want the viewer to have to think about it and make a meaning of it for them so they can discover their own ideas within the sculpture and make it theirs.
